Alghero

Alghero city is the capital and the main tourist hub from Riviera del Corallo.
This uncontaminated and wild place is located in the north west coast of Sardinia. Its name comes from the generous coral presence.
It is the only Catalan city in Italy and it is called Barceloneta de Sardenya.

The sunset in Alghero is unique and the night walk near the seafront is a diffused attraction among the local population and the tourists.

Each season this Catalan city offers the possibility to breathe a magic atmosphere in relation to the past and the present, in which Sardinian culture and the Spanish one were founded together.
In the streets of the old part of the city it is possible to taste the specialty of the local gastronomic tradition, to enjoy the beauty of the old craft tradition, especially goldsmith that founds its maximum expression in the coral production (named "Alghero red gold") and of the filigree which is admired and appreciated worldwide.
